New Years 2010

Yep, it's gonna be a new year. I can't believe it's been a whole decade since all of the Y2k hubub and whatnot. I'm getting seriously old.

Reflections on "No Russian"

"No Russian" (the airport scene in Modern Warfare 2) is one of the most controversial things I've seen (video game-wise) in for-ev-er. You just walk around and shoot people in an airport! No resistance! It's amazing what the first amendment can do.

Who would I fight?

This idea started years ago on MooSpace. Now that everyone's left there, I've decided to resurrect the idea on this little bloggy site.

When reading/watching Fight Club, one of my favorite scenes was always that "Who would you fight?" scene, in which Tyler and the narrator are discussing who they'd fight if given the choice - it could be anyone, any historical figure. Tyler chooses Abe Lincoln. The narrator chooses Ghandi.

I tend to choose folks that are here in the present. People I've really wanted to punch in the fucking face that are unfortunately too far away or too famous for me to get the chance to do so. This post is about venting, catharsis, and ranting. Tell me who you want to fight.

Here's some folks people have mentioned they want to fight in the past: The Verizon guy, Jared the Subway dude, Nicole Ritchie (that was me), me, Michael Shermer (me again), Katie Couric, "Flo" from the Progressive commercials....you get the idea. Flame on. Whenever you think of someone new, just come back and shout it out. Good times.

I'll get things started by mentioning that I want to punch Matt from the Hard Rock Hotel in the face. He's an ass. Managers that rule by fear are weak managers. Nuff said.
